We specialise in accessible web design
At Creative Access, we don’t look at accessibility as an excuse for poor design or inflated charges. Put simply, we think accessibility as important to the success of your web site as good design or engaging content.
Web accessibility goes beyond just designing for people with physical or cognitive disabilities. Web accessibility means making your site available to the widest possible audience no matter what their disability, web browser or access device.
Good for your business
Accessibility makes sense from a business perspective as well as a moral and legal one. Research shows that approximately one in seven people in the UK – about 8.5 million – suffer from some form of disability. Over two million people in the UK have a sight problem and 8-10 per cent of the male population have some sort of colour blindness (Source: Disability Rights Commission, 2004).
Many visually impaired web users use a screen reader to translate the contents of web pages for speech synthesisers or Braille displays. Other visitors to your web site may suffer with motor disabilities, cognitive disabilities and other impairments which may mean they are unable to use a mouse to navigate through your site. Whatever their disability, some users will struggle or even fail to use your web site if it was not created in an accessible way.
